I felt the same way about Wordle that Colleen did, but you gave it new meaning for me. Your project was brilliant! And your presentation made the whole process of using Wordle so meaningful.

I never thought of using that phrase – but after spending a week with Alice (& Co.), coming home on Friday night and working on my wiki for three hours – yes, she rocks. One of the best courses I have ever taken. A big dose of learning how to learn.

I just got The World Without Us. Have always had a problem with our stewardship, evidently Weisman has too.

Bob, are minds must be on the same track. I had already put together a Wordle looking at the Guiding Principles to achieve similar goals with my staff. Here it is MLR-GP if you want to share it.

This is an ingenious use of Wordle. I had mistakenly dismissed it as a frivolous design tool. You just turned it into an analytical tool. I’m seeing all sorts of possibilities now. Brilliant!

Bob, I want you to know how much I’ve appreciated having you in class. On Monday, I couldn’t begin to see how I could use this in my second grade classroom, though I thought that I might like to create one that I could use to organize and help with my professional growth. When you came over to talk with me and I visited your site, I was encouraged and when you sent Maria’s site, I knew that I could do it. I have already tried posting some things on the web and my class has used my portaportal for several years. I’m encouraged by the things I’ve learned this week and am anxious to start.

I, too, like the concept of wikis – to a point. If it is for a class collaborative project, then I am all for it. I agree that it looks too plain, like a textbook in most cases. I just checked out Google Sites, and am liking that idea much better! Thanks for the tip! I bookmarked it with other resources I will be sifting through in the next year before I take on my own classroom. Keep on blogging!
