The way I currently use del.icio.us is to organize and share links with other professionals, as well as start there when searching for links to units and curriculum from other teachers. Actually, currently, I use Diigo to collect my bookmarks — it’s much more advanced and I can comment on the links easier, join groups, create lists, etc. All of my Diigo links are then ‘pumped’ directly into del.icio.us.

The best use of del.icio.us would be to have students collect links to benefit the instruction. Many things can be accomplished by having them do the work, but most importantly, they need to validate, review and assess sites in order to defend/explain their usefulness.
